Some more details..
The wool plush in this vest was washed prior to assembly. Judith wanted to see how the plush would wash in a regular machine at home with regular laundry soap and water. And then -gasp- she dried it. The fabric handled so well that she actually washed it again and again. The fabric did not ball up or become misshaped. It did not shrink to half the original size (only shrunk a bit). The result is a slightly felted, beautifully even wool. (click on the pictures above to view a larger picture)
In this vest, Judith used UltrasuedeTM for the piping detail.
